2026 Black History Program

This year our Black History Program featured a special Red-Carpet Segment titled Black Excellence in Motion: I Am the Future.

We have a video featuring pictures from our various events. The music was composed by our Teen Torray Chase Andrews.

The event celebrated the aspirations, dreams, and talents of our Jacks and Jills. Each participant presented themselves as their future self — a future engineer, doctor, artist, activist, entrepreneur, scientist, teacher, or other professional — while walking proudly across the red carpet.

Each participant shared: 1. What their future role is (“I am a future aerospace engineer”). 2. Why they chose it (“Because I want to design rockets and inspire other kids to reach for the stars”). 3. How it represents Black Excellence (“I want to continue the legacy of pioneers like Katherine Johnson and Mae Jemison”).
